From Dreaming the Doing ~to~ Doing the Dreaming

Happy first day of Spring in the northern hemisphere and happy first day of Autumn in the southern hemisphere. Today marks New Year’s Day for the zodiac. It is the first moment of The Sun crossing into the first sign of the zodiac – Aries, The Ram – from the last sign of the zodiac – Pisces, The Two Fish.

Pisces dissolves all of the other 11 signs into it as collective dream, distilling each gift of each sign, including its own sign, into the unconscious mater of unformed everything. This is the deep...pregnant with possibilities, ready to express itself as many forms with many names and faces. Aries is the sign that rules the head and the face. Aries is the initial expression of New Self amongst the nebula of past experiences and identities...The First Face. For this reason, Aries is fearless and bold and cannot be told that another’s experience trumps Her own. For She is the Ram that must boldly emerge from the cosmic soup and run into the world.

But in this very special this moment of beginning...dreams have a power that they always have, every day...the only difference is that we’re acutely connected to their power and influence, right now.

And we’re ready to bring these dreams into active manifestation.

The Spring equinox arrives on Saturday, March 19 or Sunday, March 20, 2016, depending on your time zone:

Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 6:30 PM HAST (Hawai’i-Aleutian Standard Time)

Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 9:30 PM PDT (Pacific Daylight Time)

Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 10:30 PM MDT (Mountain Daylight Time)

Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 11:30 PM CDT (Central Daylight Time)

Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 12:30 AM EDT (Eastern Daylight Time)

Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 12:30 AM AST (Atlantic Standard Time)

Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 4:30 AM UTC (Universal Time) GMT (Greenwich Meridian Time)

It is in this moment across The Earth that The Sun in Aires swishes from the womb of the Pisces collective to burst forth into its own expression. In this moment, the uterine veil of Pisces is still clinging to The Ram’s forming horns. In this moment, on this Day of 0˚Aires from 30˚Pisces, The Dream of The Collective Unconscious clings to the fearless Doer.

Like a tide coming in or going out, change happens as process. Sometimes, the tide appears to not be coming in at all. Then, all-of-a-sudden, it rushes up to meet our feet. But, then it recedes back again for a spell of waves, only to rush up into our sandcastles and fill our moats with salty sea. This new tide is a wave of action birthed from the wisdom of dream. The realm of Dream dissolves all things into one unconscious collective where all possibilities exist. In Pisces, we spent the last month in the passive task of dreaming what we want to do in the next season. Spring is now here. We are ready now to do the action we dreamt up and ready to release the old actions we dreamt away.

Even if we weren’t conscious of our dreaming, we still have been imagining a new reality for ourselves, regardless. Now is the time to do it. If, in the doing of our dream, we discover that we don’t like the dream we’re doing, we have this tidal moment of birth to recalibrate what we’ve dreamed up for ourselves. We can do the refining work of dreaming away into nothingness the actions we don’t want to do. This is a very powerful moment. Its orb of influence lasts as long as the tide is coming in. But once the dreaming tide has fully arrived, it’s 100% doing, from then on out. In this incipient Spring, let’s make the most of dreaming the doing and doing the dream!

Ostara - Happy International Astrology Day!

Today is the First Day of The Astrological New Year - The Beginning of the First Sign: Aries - The ReBirth of the Zodiac.

The March Equinox:  Equal Day and Night Across The Earth

The First Day of Spring (Vernal Equinox) in the Northern Hemisphere and The First Day of Fall (Autumnal Equinox) in the Southern Hemisphere - Begins today, Friday, the 20th of March at 3:45PM Pacific Daylight Time/6:45PM Eastern Daylight Time.

(If you want to know exactly what time the Equinox starts where you are, click here.)

Today also marks the exact cusp of Pisces-Aries. The Keyword for this cusp is: Rebirth.

Indeed it is a Rebirth for this blog. For the next Year, I will not only talk about each of the 12 signs of the zodiac, I will blog and catalog each of the cusps and decanates for each sign - totaling 48. If you're reading this on at least a weekly basis, you'll learn all about the different kinds of Aries, Tauruses, Geminis, and so on...there are (5 of each sign). So, let's start with the First Sign, Aries.

The First kind of Aries that there are begin with those born on the Pisces-Aries cusp. The beginning of the cusp changes from year to year. This year it begins today, the 20th of March and goes into Wednesday, the 25th of March.
Sign - Aries
Type - Pisces Aries Cusp - Aries with Pisces "tendencies."
Ruler - Mars with Neptune and Jupiter accents
Patterns Of Character - Impulsive, alternating between determined & headstrong. Your pattern is different than other, socially daring, Aries. You get along with people AND long for solitude. You resent anyone interfering with your intentions.  For all your fierceness, you are incredibly sympathetic to others.
Keyword - REBIRTH

Aries Horoscope (All 5 types of Aries):  Your Fortune is (literally) on the horizon. Look to The Rising Sun for clues to navigate your Self-Ship into Port. You are arriving and the mooring will be harmonious, even if it's slightly choppy waters. When you dock, look for taboo ways of making money and mental telepathy (the kind we collectively experience when hearing a current popular song in our heads) to show you how to tap into what the people want. You're ready to give it to them.

Horoscope for Aries on the Pisces Aries Cusp:  For the next few days you feel emotionally sound, financially sound, and structurally sound. As the emotions change and give way to physical and social drama with others, don't lose sight of the awareness you have. Later in the month, you will see and feel things from the other side. Completing the picture will make it easier to keep the harmony flowing.

Happy Chinese New Year of the Wood Goat/Sheep!

The Skinny:  Today - Thursday, February 19, 2015 is the First Day of the New Chinese Year. The Goat (or Sheep) is one of 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac (Shēngxiào, or 生肖), which is based on a 12-year cycle. This year, the Goat takes on the Wood element, making it more amicable, gentle and compassionate than it already is when it takes on other elements. The Year is also known as the Year of the Sheep, or even Ram, because in Chinese the word 羊 (yáng) is a generic term, and can refer to a sheep (绵羊), goat (山羊), ram/buck (公羊 male sheep or goat), 羚羊 (antelope), etc.

"Happy (Chinese) New Year!" is pronounced “Gong Xi Fa Cai” in Mandarin and “Gong Hey Fat Choy” in Cantonese, although both are written the same way:

(Click 'Here' to learn how to write out these Chinese characters.)

The Fat:  Everyone will experience less feistiness and more calmness during this year. Even arguments between spouses will be calmer (although more frequent) and produce mores resolutions. Let's learn a little bit about the Chinese Calendar and how it works:

Chinese New Year is also one of the biggest holidays on earth.  The world’s largest annual human migration is now well underway as 2.8 billion trips are made across China in what is known as chun yun, when students, migrant workers and office employees living away from home will make the journey back to celebrate with their families.

Although This is one of the oldest celebrations in human history - about 4652 years, so far - The Chinese calendar doesn't count years in an ongoing sequence, like the Gregorian calendar we use. Instead there is a 60-year cycle that repeats using twelve (12) animals in the zodiac and five (5) elements. That means that, although we'll have another Goat Year in 12 years, it will be a different element: Fire. In 12 more years it will be Earth, then Metal, then Water. This year of the Wood Goat won't repeat for another 60 years.

Each of the 12 years in the Chinese zodiac cycle is represented by an animal associated with five elemental signs. The animals are:

Zi (rat)
Chou (ox)
Yin (tiger)
Mao (rabbit)
Chen (dragon)
Si (snake)
Wu (horse)
Wei (sheep)
Shen (monkey)
You (rooster)
Xu (dog)
Hai (boar/pig)

It is believed that some animal-zodiac relationships are more compatible than others (like the western astrological zodiac based on months). Unlike the western zodiac, the Chinese zodiac animals are not associated with star constellations.

There are also 5 elements in the zodiac associated with the animals and their personalities:

Since 2015 is the Year of the Wood Goat/Ram/Sheep, it is believed that those born in this sign are going to have a good year, with plenty of luck and opportunities ahead.

The Year of the Wood Goat/Ram/Sheep (Wei) starts today and ends on February 7, 2016, in the Gregorian calendar. It comes after the Year of the Horse and before the Year of the Monkey in the Chinese calendar. During Spring Festival, people put up symbols of the sheep, as well as the "happiness" sign, in their homes. People born in the Year of the Goat/Sheep are thought to be loyal, good-natured and kind. They are believed to be introverts who can easily be overtaken by emotion.

Careers and Compatibility
According to superstition, those born this Year tend to be adaptable and highly motivated and committed to their work. Their compatibility is matched with the Pig and the Dragon, but least matched with the Rooster and the Tiger.

Famous people born in a Year of the Sheep include:

Michelangelo (architect, sculptor, painter)
Mark Twain (author)
Thomas Edison (inventor)
Julia Roberts (actor)

A little known fact in the West:  Leap years occur every 3 years in the Chinese calendar. The Chinese calendar normally features 12 months but occasionally has a leap year consisting of 13 months. This year is a Chinese leap year: 2015, the Year of the Goat/Ram/Sheep.

Valentine's Day=Aquarius' Love Potion

The Lessons of Aquarian Love: Compassion; Flowing Space; The Erotic Mind

(Valentine Horoscopes below)

The Skinny:  Emotional memories both cloud and color-pretty the lenses of love through which we see the world. (Say THAT three times, fast!). This time of the year is great for giving everyone in our social circle their "space." That includes our closest romances and hook-ups. But it will be hard to see this because our nostalgic ideas of love are loudly influencing the way we see others. It's a GREAT day to sit with ourselves and remember all the great moments of our lives. It's also a Good day to sit with a close friend and recall all the good times. As much as we like to "make memories" on occasions like Valentine's Day, please entertain the possibility of doing something with someone that celebrates the rich history you share.

Aquarius:  In the US, late afternoon/early evening will bring a generous nostalgic surprise. Be open to letting go of concerns to be nurtured and allow other expressions of love in.

Pisces:  This is your Day! Frankly, this is your month from now until late March. You "act" by dreaming. Everyone is being forced to act in this way, too, right now, so you are the celestial traffic cop.

Aries:  You bring a lot of luck to everyone around you, including yourself, right now. This is not happening the way you are usually comfortable with "doing things." Sometimes, life and love is about surrender.

Taurus:  What "everyone" is saying and doing looks a lot more interesting than what you're doing, right now. But you have a tendency to forget that you are ALWAYS essential.

Gemini:  If you played the lottery on February 9th and/or January 6th, I hope you kept the 'losing' ticket, because those numbers are going to flip from a 'No' to a 'Yes.' This is also true of love proposals on those dates.

Cancer:  This day agrees with you. At home, sit in a calm space and plan your weekend, then go out in the late afternoon/early evening and enjoy an erotic moment & its mental stimulation.

Leo:  I hope you find time to "love yourself," today. And I mean that in ANY way you receive it. Whether you're erotic with yourself and/or others, this is a day for deep, evocative experiences.

Virgo:  You are the sign of Truth experienced through Physical Ritual. Don't skimp on the details of your ritual on a day like this. Go all out. You will be rewarded, especially if you do an "anti-Valentine's Day thing."

Libra:  You enjoy the theme of this day - Romantic Pairing - but the vibe is asking too much of you emotionally. For just today, surrender to the intensity of it and have fun, regardless of what siblings may do or say.

Scorpio:  The more 'soft' our natural intensity expresses itself, today, the more fun we will have. When we come to the surprising aid of others, our philosophical and professional goals will be expanded.

Sagittarius:  Check yourself. Your instinctual values are conflicting with the values you developed in childhood to cope with life, then. Now, experiencing great romance and eros require a sophisticated, multifaceted approach. You are evolved enough to do this. Your hedonism is actually the flip-side of great discipline & dedication.

Capricorn:  You and Libra are in a sibling dispute with each other and/or your actual siblings. Your feelings can be expressed to create positive values when you choose your words wisely. If you free your mind, an unlikely partner will unlock your inner "freak-of-the-week."

The Fat:  Aquarius is the Star Constellation of The Water Bearer. He/She is the Compassionate Bodhisattva of The Earth who cosmically connects all communities. Aquarius uses refined intellect (His/Her Air element) to carry and cast emotion (the Water element). Aquarius is co-ruled by Saturn-the planet of limitation & structure AND Uranus-the planet of electric-blue change & revolution. Aquarius knows the rules and knows how to break them. Sometimes S/He does it to shock and rebel; sometimes He/She does it to transform a paradigm from something outdated to something unknown, yet malleable to meet the demands of the new situation. How does this affect our Romantic (Venus) and Physical-Erotic (Mars) ideas of Love?

Today - Saturday, the 14th of February, 2014 - the two Love planets: Venus & Mars are both in the sign of Pisces. This is love is more felt then expressed. And the feeling is deep, casting us into a swirl of evocative sounds and images. This is the love of memory's tricky cousin nostalgia. Today, Love is best expressed and experienced when mingled with memories of good times shared. There is great benefit in reviewing the vast storehouse of good feelings we have created with another. In this space, our thirst for romantic castles in the sky and deep-plunging erotic lovemaking can be slaked.

Still, no matter which signs Venus and Mars are in each year, The Sun is always in Aquarius - about 23-25 degrees. Aquarius understands intensity. That's why S/He prefers to remain detached. There is an expectation for grand, sweeping gesture of affection and adoration on Valentine's Day. Aquarius rightfully rebels against such a forced paradigm. If we are not careful to respect The Sun's need for detached intensity in Aquarius, our plans for grandiose expressions of 'love' could be in for a nasty surprise. The Sun in Aquarius is tolerant of set a point. The more we experiment, today, the more we will be surprisingly rewarded.

The Aquarius Love Potion

The Aquarius Love Potion

Mercury "Return" = 20/20 Hindsight

Mercury is out of Retrograde on Wednesday, the 11th of February. Are you ready for a "RE-Do?"

Mercury is now Direct in Aquarius.

Mercury is now Direct in Aquarius.

The Skinny:     Mercury stopped moving forward and went 'backward' in the sky on January 21st. Today - Wednesday (Mercury's Day-Of-The-Week), February 11th - Mercury will stop moving 'backward' - Pause - and then go forward in the sky, again. Mercury affects communication, thinking, and expression. Imagine that all going forward, then stopping cold, then going backward, then stopping cold, then going forward, again. Now you know why you can't put three words together these past few weeks. Today we're waking up from all of that...with a slight hangover.  But starting Tomorrow, we all get a "RE-do" in various places in our lives.

The Path of Mercury: moving forward from January 5th-21st( Pre-Shadow ); stopping on January 21st; Going into Retrograde motion on January 21st-February 11th; stopping on February 11th: Going into Direct motion on February 11 (Begin Post-Shadow ); On March 3rd-4th Mercury will be catching up to where S/He was on January 21st and finally moving past that point (End Post-Shadow ).

The Path of Mercury: moving forward from January 5th-21st(Pre-Shadow); stopping on January 21st; Going into Retrograde motion on January 21st-February 11th; stopping on February 11th: Going into Direct motion on February 11 (Begin Post-Shadow); On March 3rd-4th Mercury will be catching up to where S/He was on January 21st and finally moving past that point (End Post-Shadow).

The Fat:          Mercury is wearing the mask of Aquarius as He/She moved backward through the Aquarius constellation. Aquarius is the sign of non-traditional community and inspired innovation. Social Networking is a perfect example. A Retrograde Mercury in Aquarius tests all of that. Our Twitterpating/Facebooking/Instagramming activity needs to take a chill pill while we focus on RE-storative communication in our social web-worlds.

Mercury (☿ is its sigil) goes Retrograde 3-4 times a year. Each time, Mercury will transit a different sign in the sky. This is a "resting" time for Mercury. Retrograde motion lasts 3-3&1/2 weeks, but the whole cycle is longer - over 5 weeks. With 52 weeks in a year, 3 of these 5+ week cycles takes up about 1/3 of the entire year.  That's the same amount of each 24-hour day we (on average) spend sleeping: 8 hours.  Mercury Retrograde is a time in the year for our communication and expression command centers to sleep...and dream.

The best way to do this is to put a "RE" in front of everything and let go of focusing on "moving forward." RE-organize your contacts in your phone, RE-connect with old friends, RE-vise or RE-write an important document.  But, if you Must "Move Forward" expect the dreaming god Mercury (☿) to have you do it (at least) twice before S/He wakes up to participate. Breaking up with your "future-ex"...? You might have to do that again (...and Again!) if you chose to do it on or after January 21st. There's more to talk about, whether you like it, or not.

So...what to do Today and moving forward as Mercury wakes up from the Dreaming? Aquarius is the sign of "Visionary Activism." That's what Awesome Astrologer Caroline W. Casey would call Entertaining the Possibilities Beyond what we THINK is possible...and Allowing ourselves to act "outside of the box." Publicist-Maven Melanie Vesey says, "When you're inside the box, the directions to get out of it are on the outside." Luckily, we were just outside the box reading those directions BEFORE Mercury(☿) went Retrograde. All we need to do is Remember what it was like when we weren't in this predicament. If we can't remember the "facts," we can feel the FEELING of what it's like to feel free. The feeling will reflect the "get-outside-the-box" directions as clear as a mirror. This is our "20/20 Hindsight" Moment from today until Tuesday, March 3rd.

What is it like to be inside the box and to intuit the "exit directions" that are outside of it, you ask?

VH-1's "Hindsight"

VH-1's "Hindsight"'s kind of like the new TV Show "Hindsight" on VH-1 about a woman who is 45 in 2015, passes out and wakes up 25 in 1995.  She gets to RE-do Everything she ever did in those 20 years. Ours isn't a 20-year time trip; it's just a few weeks...and it certainly doesn't let us RE-do EVERYTHING that happened since Wednesday, January 21st. But a Mercury that was Retrograde in Aquarius and is now Direct will let us RE-say almost anything to anyone in our social matter how far away.

We have this window until Tuesday, March 3rd to RE-Say and RE-Express and RE-Tell all the things we wanted said better, the first time. We can RE-view the unfortunate things we said and RE-address them, using the knowledge of what happened the last time we said them. As Mercury RE-turns to forward motion today, most people will be so glad that the Retrograde is over that they'll miss out on the opportunity to RE-Do crucial aspects of their lives.  That won't be you; you're forewarned and forearmed.

Here's a Guide to Which days you'll be "RE-living" an aspect of your life and when you'll be "RE-living" it.  The first column shows the dates for what is going on NOW into the future. The second column shows dates for what we did while Mercury was Retrograde (that we NOW get to "RE-Do"). The third column shows dates for what we First Did before Mercury went Retrograde:

The Technical:  Mercury went Retrograde in the sign Aquarius. This happened when it was about 1/2-way into Aquarius.  Mercury stopped at 17˚ (out of 30) degrees Aquarius on the 21st. Mercury then  moved backward to the place where it was on Monday, January 5th (1 degree Aquarius). Today, Tuesday, February 9th, Mercury is at 1˚ Aquarius. Mercury stops moving backward on Wednesday, February 11th and then starts moving forward again. But Mercury will not get past that 17 degree Aquarius mark (Remember...? The place where it first went backward in our sky on January 21st...?) where it started at until Tuesday, March 3rd. That part of Mercury's journey that is NOT Retrograde but, rather, tracing/retracing its previous place in the sky is called "Shadow."

The first Mercury Retrograde of this year - 2015 - happened at Seventeen Degrees and Five Minutes into the sign Aquarius (17˚5") on January 21 at 3:54PM Greenwich or Universal time, 10:54AM Eastern time and 7:54AM Pacific time.  Mercury enters Direct Station in Aquarius (1˚18") on February 11 at 2:57PM Greenwich Universal Time, 9:57AM Eastern Standard Time and 6:57AM Pacific Standard Time.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

My favorite Christmas song that is not religious and not about the general wonder of Winter (as in "Jingle Bells," "Sleigh Ride" and "Winter Wonderland") is "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" written by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane.

Hugh Martin

The story of this song is almost as spectacular as the Virgin Performance of it by Judy Garland in the film "Meet Me In St. Louis" directed by her then-husband Vincent Minnelli.

In the movie, Judy's character Ester, is consoling her 5-year-old sister, Tootie, played by Margret O'Brien, on Christmas Eve because their family is moving from their beloved home in St. Louis to New York City and will not experience the comforts of Middle American 'home & hearth' again.

Original lyrics to the song were deemed too depressing:
"Have yourself a merry little Christmas / It may be your last/ Next year we may all be living in the past / Have yourself a merry little Christmas / Pop that champagne cork / Next year we may all be living in New York." (Martin, Hugh (2010). The Boy Next Door. Trolley Press. pp. 196-197. ISBN 978-0-615-36507-7.)
So Hugh Martin changed the lyrics to make them more upbeat:
"It may be your last / Next year we may all be living in the past" became "Let your heart be light / Next year all our troubles will be out of sight" (Willman, Chris (2006-12-22). "There's Something About Merry". Entertainment Weekly. Retrieved 2007-12-21.)
But, when Frank Sinatra decided to record it for his Christmas Album he asked for even more changes to make it "happier."  And it's this set of lyrics that really changes the meaning of the song:
"Next year all our troubles will be out of sight."
Was changed to:
"From now on our troubles will be out of sight."
"Until then, we'll have to muddle through, somehow."
Was changed to:
"Hang a shining star upon the highest bough."
This changed a song encouraging those we love to enjoy the moment in spite of the present tough times to a glorious salutation to a loved one for Christmas.  But the powerful intent of acknowledging the pain that people are in THIS Christmas and the HOPE of a better Christmas Next Year was "lost in translation" with the new, 'happy' lyrics that almost every performer has sung in records.

A number of American Pop singers have alternately sung both sets of lyrics, from Ella Fitzgerald to Frank Sinatra.  Recently a wonderful recording of the song by Bette Midler did a wise thing.  Since the refrain is repeated twice, she sang BOTH sets of lyrics AS one song, satisfying everyone and changing the meaning of the song entirely.  This performance by The Divine Miss M transforms the song and surpasses the intent of even the songwriter, who changed the song AGAIN to try to make it more religious, rewording the lyrics in the 1990's (which never caught on).

Now, one may ask what all of this has to do Astrology?

Well.  We're in a new age.  And we're working with old materials that have been written, RE-Written, interpreted, fought over and used and misused for all types of purposes and intents.  Bette Midler did something that no one else thought of:  She said to herself, "This is not an either/or song.  This is a BOTH/AND SONG."  She took these found materials and made an assemblage that is greater than the sum of its parts.

And that's what we have the opportunity to do with Astrology.  We can mark up the old, we can read or write the RE-Write…and we can then toss it all out or put it all together as a New and Transformed Thing that is greater than what we could've previously imagined.  Indeed, there IS a difference between a Christmas present and a Christmas Gift.  This is true in Life as much as it's true at Christmas.  Putting them together, we experience an Offering beyond our wildest dreams.

The Meditation for Today, Thursday, the 25th of December, 2014 is:

"Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.

Let Your Heart Be Light."

Sunday, December 21st 2014 - The Winter Solstice: From Shadow into Light

Today's Winter Solstice - the "shortest" Day of the Year - Happens at 6:03PM Eastern Standard Time (3:03PM PST). It is the shortest daylight period for the Northern Hemisphere and the longest daylight period - The Summer Solstice - for the Southern Hemisphere.

The Darkest Day is also the Longest Day

For those of us in The North, one would think that this day marks the latest Sunrise and the Earliest Sunset of the Year.
But...The Winter Solstice Sun is SPECIAL. It rises Earlier than The Sun will rise in January and it sets Later than it did about two weeks ago. How is this possible? Because The Earth's orbit around The Sun is not a circle; it's elliptical. This slightly egg-shaped orbit means that the days at this time of year are actually LONGER than 24 hours.

So just remember, the Darkest Day is also the Longest Day - and this means more light to balance the lack of light. Even when it seems Darkest...Hope, Love, Faith, Courage...all Light is present in abundance.

Today is Saturday, the 20th of December, 2014.

What is exciting is how each of us will go about reconciling our differences.

It's Saturn's Day.  Saturn is the god of Time-measurement, Limitation, Authority, Structure and Discipline.  So today - Saturday - is Saturn's Day.  It's also the cosmic day for Uranus, the Promethean god of Change, Revolution, Rebellion, Disruption, The Bringing of Air to Water and the Bringing of Fire to Air, and the Creation of New Paradigms.  So today - Uranus' Day - is also Saturday.

Lots of distractions abound today.  Look how long it took me to write this blog!
…Lifting itself above and away from the fray of conflicts and alliances is the simple fact that knowing ourselves and facing ourselves is the most important thing we can do right now.  Sorrow and heartbreaking compassion will motivate us to the action of protection…for ourselves and others.

Sabian Symbol Oracle REDUX
Yesterday was Wednesday, September 10th.

The Sabian Symbol was: Virgo 18˚
This WAS ALSO THE SUN'S DEGREE ON 9/11 2001: Virgo 18˚

Commentary: In 1848, “two girls” - sisters from Hydesville, New York - popularized the Ouija board and it spread across the US and Europe. This phenomenon expresses the West’s need to participate in numinous activities like spiritual and occult practices. The young, feminine, largely innocent and receptive aspects of our collective psyche is “playing” with the Unseen forces of life. There are 3 elements, here: two persons and an occult oracular agent, allowing the two to dialog together. “Two” often denotes duality. The third agent facilitates their communication and deeper mutual understanding. Additionally, partners who are willing play together - at first naïvely entertaining the oracle - can unlock great wisdom. Observe whether-or-not all the seeking is an excuse to avoid responsibility.

Quotes to relate with the Oracle:

“If I waited to be right before I spoke, I would be sending little cryptic messages on the Ouija board, complaints from the other side.”
- Audre Lorde

“You must pray carefully and for the very essence of your desire or you will be caught up in many musings of things you may not want for your own experience.”
- Ouija Message

Astrology For The Week: Sep 7 - 13

Sunday, September 7th - Saturday, September 13th

The only thing funnier than a “Three’s Company misunderstanding” unfolding is the climax when everyone figures out that “assume” really does make an ‘ass’ out of ‘u’ & ‘me.’ For everyone, jumping to conclusions will lead to LOTS of embarrassment, later on. We’re ALL prone to do it, this week, in different areas of our lives. The trick is to catch the impulse before we become this week’s Jack Tripper, or worse…Mr. Furley.

Virgoans Born this week:

Your birthday constellation this week is Hercules, the Hero
When a Hero is popular, they can do no wrong. Enjoy it, this week…AND discern who your real friends are. Hero’s undergo transformations again and again. You’re in-between changes and it looks pretty, right now. The next journey may not be so lovely. Only real friends will rally to your side, then. Cherish these, here and now.

Astro-Oracle For Today

Sabian Symbol Oracle
Today is Friday, September 5th. The Sabian Symbol is: Virgo 13˚

Commentary: There is a difference between a “statesman” - a public servant - and a politician. But even the statesman in us can become sway to the power of politics. S/he who "overcomes" this “hysteria” achieves a personal triumph that claims victory for the entire “State.”

Quotes to relate with the Oracle:

“The difference between a politician and a statesman is that a politician thinks about the next election while the statesman think about the next generation”
― Hillary Rodham Clinton

“Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfills the same function as pain in the human body; it calls attention to the development of an unhealthy state of things. If it is heeded in time, danger may be averted; if it is suppressed, a fatal distemper may develop."
― Winston Churchill

“Today as always, men fall into two groups: slaves and free men. Whoever does not have two-thirds of his day for himself, is a slave, whatever he may be: a statesman, a businessman, an official, or a scholar.”
― Friedrich Nietzscheß

“These are the times in which a genius would wish to live. It is not in the still calm of life, or the repose of a pacific station, that great characters are formed. The habits of a vigorous mind are formed in contending with difficulties. Great necessities call out great virtues. When a mind is raised, and animated by scenes that engage the heart, then those qualities which would otherwise lay dormant, wake into life and form the character of the hero and the statesman.”
― Abigail Adams

Astrology For The Week: Aug 31 - Sep 6

Sunday, August 31st - Saturday, September 6th

All of the major 7 luminaries:

The Sun, The Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn are either in the signs of Leo, Virgo, or Scorpio. So let’s focus on these three:

Virgoans born this week:

Your birthday Constellation is Hercules. Please focus on putting the big picture in order; don’t get caught in details. They’ll work themselves out. Opportunities once blocked by gatekeepers are opening up.

Someone’s overly sunny disposition is getting on your nerves. Don’t cry when a tasty surprise makes them happier. You have a lot to learn from their joy.

Don’t be so busy fighting the powers-that-be that you miss the point and purpose of your conflict: to make you more aware of your own strength. Then, and only then, can your natural confidence scare your opponent into conceding defeat.

Everyone’s general horoscope:

When confused, choose the most efficient solution. There will be another time for the frills.

Today's Sabian Symbol & Bob Marley...

Sabian Symbol Oracle
Today's Sabian Symbol is Virgo 4˚

Commentary: The Sabian Symbols were created in 1925 by an Astrologer and a Clairvoyant Medium. This symbol is just as clear today as it was then: Harmony Happily Playing, with all other societally imposed differences ignored, due to innocence or to joy overcoming the delusion of difference. ALL these “children” exist in you and me and everyone, all the time.

Quotes to relate with the Oracle:
“I destroy my enemy when I make (her)him my friend.”
- Abraham Lincoln

“Me only have one ambition, y'know. I only have one thing I really like to see happen. I like to see mankind live together - black, white, Chinese, everyone - that's all.”
― Bob Marley Mixed Race (Black Mother/White Father) MASTER of Universal Love

Sabian Symbol Oracle
Today's Sabian Symbol is Virgo 3˚

Commentary: Often we are unaware that we are ALWAYS being protected. It is when we are in danger that the passive aspect of protection - watching - becomes the active aspect of protection - acting and intervening on our behalf. With these tandem totems all around us, we may simply call upon our angels…not one, but AT LEAST two, to act in us ~ upon us ~ AS us ~ for us, and countless others.

Quotes to relate with the Oracle:
“The invisible world would like to help, but spiritual etiquette requires that we ask. Help is always available (operators are standing by).”
Caroline Casey, Visionary Activist Principle #3

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
- Albert Einstein

“We forget to pray for the angels and the angels forget to pray for us.”
- Leonard Cohen

Sunday, August 24th - Saturday, August 30th

The Sun in Virgo is late this year, making it’s First full Day in The Virgin Harvester sign on Sunday. And just because the “harvest” is late doesn’t mean it’s lean. Imagine all the focus of Fall combined with all the fun of Summer…and you’ve got what the next two weeks has in store for you. It’s a smart, sexy, fun, full-of-opportunity, and fierce fashion fortnight! And Virgo is finally the star of the show. Because Virgo is so helpful and intelligent, this means that everyone gets to shine. Enjoy this Crest of the Summer wave.

Random Acts of Astrology: Leo

What was just affecting Scorpio is now focused on you, Leo: An awareness of the true nature of powerful forces you know are there but cannot always see with the naked eye.
Truly understanding their intent will help you to see that they are neither beneficial, nor malefic. It is your final awareness of their neutrality that enables you to make of them what you want.
This is only true because you are finally relying on YOURSELF as the MAKER of your own destiny.
Even while a dark (not evil; just hidden in darkness), outside force is body-checking you to remember that TRUE Theatrical Drama holds Mystery at it's core, you are also given an unexpected "identity jolt" that may cause you to happily re-examine just who you really DO think you are.
Sound confusing...? It won't by the end of the day.

Summon around you the groundswell of Self-Authority and Self-Motivation that is abundant.
Meditate today! The inner saboteur works HARDEST on our good days...and this is a GOOD DAY. Do not allow it to stop you from gaining traction on your advancement. Rather, MEDITATE and SURRENDER TO SOURCE. This will put space between you and the inner saboteur's whispers.
